This and That

Just a few things running through my mind I figured I'd share...

I love this typewriter print from Janet Hill Studio. She's got so many great prints. It looks like she also posts an original each week as well, but I'm sure they go quickly.

Blogging is great isn't it? What better way to reach so many people from all over that share the same interests? Sheila from SZ Interiors is a blogger that I've started following along with. Her antique and vintage purple glass post really got my wheels turning - and now I'm on the hunt for some purple glass. Sheila and I also share a love for Mid Century Modern furniture. Although, you know since my class this past week that I can't get French inspired furniture out of my head. And...Sheila also shares the same name as my daughter...my sweet little Sheila.

I don't get super personal on my blog, but I was ready to share a little bit more about me and my family :) These photos were taken at Linvilla Orchard back in October. Sheila's hair is really starting to grow as evidenced in the first photo, and she's got some curls in the back that I just love. I'm really excited about the holidays this year. Last year was such a whirlwind since Sheila was still pretty young, so I feel like Thanksgiving and Christmas just flew in and flew out. This year we plan on really enjoying the most we can of the holidays and starting some new fun and traditions with Sheila.

Another Etsy find...I really wanted to incorporate something like this letterpress print into my dinnerware board but my room evolved to be more formal and this print didn't fit in with that plan.

Tis the season for cocktails, cookies, all kinds of yummy food, and today I start a healthy living competition with a group of women at my office (good or bad timing?). I'm excited about it as it's the boost I need to get back on track. We are scoring points for water intake, sleep, exercise, and weight loss. We'll see how it goes...

One last thing, Elizabeth's new website is up for her blog and website designs - check it out if you have a chance!

Have a wonderful weekend - what kinds of things do you have on tap?

  2. Holly, your daughter is adorable! Even though my kids are only 3 and 5, I remember the Christmas when my daughter was about Sheila's age and how special it was. Enjoy it all! Love the typewriter print and the soft feminine colors. Heading over to check out Janet's link now.

    Have a great weekend.

  4. You two are adorable, I love see my blog friends in real-life photos. I'm working on a teen girl's room, we're doing a wall of her favorite quotes, the typewriter print would be perfect in the mix, thanks!

  5. Oh Holly! Sheila is adorable, and so are you! The 1-2 year old age is my favorite. The kids are so cute and their personalities shine through...without all of the talking back and tantrums. I like when my blog friends share personal details and photos. It's so fun to get to know you better. Good luck with the Healthy Living challenge. I did one in the spring and I felt so good cutting out all of the junk food and eating healthy. Must try it again...just not during the holidays!

  14. Yay for Sheila!!! I was so excited when you shared more about her in your comment on my post the other day! She is adorable! Does your husband have light hair? She definitely has more hair than Maura does. I love the pic of you two together. It's kinda sad, I think we moms are always behind the camera and not in enough shots with the kiddos..I have tons of my husband and Maura but not many of me and her:( And girl, you look fabulous! Congrats on the healthy challenge though, I could use that! Somehow nothing in my body is the same anymore since I was pregnant:( Have a great weekend with your little cutie!
