Thrifting Finds

I got the chance to check out one of my favorite consignment stores near my work last week, Phantastic Phinds. I try to visit once a week because they are always getting new inventory into the store. This time of year the inventory could be really great as people are cleaning out, decluttering, organizing, etc. etc.

Here are the items I picked up:

A cute corner shelf that I thought could be used in a bathroom or maybe even the kitchen to hold some fruits and vegetables. I might even try to use it at the bottom of our stairs as it's a tricky area that is just the right size for a small table and some accessories. I'll have to play around to see if this could work. If not inside, then maybe outside once spring rolls around and I'll put a few small plants on it.

I couldn't resist this milk glass goblet. I threw in some crayons just because I love and wanted some color, but I thought I could use this in a variety of places as well. Sheila will not be using it to hold her crayons that's for sure. I might use it for some makeup brushes in the bathroom.

And lastly, I've been on the lookout for a pair of wall mount taper candleholders and I was excited to find a pair of brass ones at the last chance price. I thought they were in nice shape and had nice detail. For $6.00 I couldn't pass them up.

Grand total for all four items was $17.00. Once I have them in place I'll give you an update.

Hope the first week of the year is going well for all of you!

  1. I love your finds, Holly! I have to do more thrifting this year. I have purchased a few milk glass items on etsy and I do love the addition of the softness of the white in my decor.

  2. Unique shelf, I couldn't tell if it's wire or wicker. De-clutter, just to make room for more...sounds crazy if you didn't 'get-it'!

  9. Nice finds! The goblet would be perfect for makeup brushes. I've been feeling the thrifting bug myself, but haven't had a chance to do much shopping recently.
