TGIFiles - Spring is in the Air!

Do you have signs of spring where you are? Temperatures here outside of Philly have been in the 60s and 70s all week and next week looks like the same. We've got birds chirping, flowers blooming, BBQ smells in the air...is it too good to be true? I hope not! The weekend is here! But first, a few quick clips for you...

~ If you live in or near Manhattan (or going to be visiting) before May 6th, there is a Duncan Phyfe exhibit going on at the Met. I'd love to get up there to see it. I had found an article in the Wall Street Journal back in January and just got around to reading it. If you live in Texas, the exhibit will be traveling down to the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston on June 24th. Let me know if any of you go - I'd love to hear about it.

~ If you've been reading here for a while then you know I love my coffee, but do you think this is manly? I would certainly take it for my home in a second. (from the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago).

~ Amy Meier has done it again. If you have the opportunity to pick up the latest issue of New England Home, then you'll be able to see her beautiful designs in print. I had featured Amy's nautical kitchen project last year and that was a favorite of mine, but this home is really beautiful.

~ Lastly, check out my latest Phantastic Phinds score...

I love it. It'll make watering my flowers in the house glamorous, and it sure beats the Solo cup I've been using. And, my photography skills still needs lots of improving, but I'm pretty proud of the lighting for this shot. If only we had this lighting throughout the house at all times.

I've got some fun projects to share with you soon too!

Have a wonderful weekend and as always thanks so much for reading!!

  9. Have to make sure I visit the Met. I do not think the coffeemaker is too manyly - yes the lines are - but it is a way of marketing it. It is for everyone. There is something about that chevron wood floor that I like and gorgeous built-in - beautiful gray trim! Very quirky watering can, Holly! It is something I would grab in a heartbeat.

  10. Holly, I love your new watering can! It's amazing... My hubby just said I should be investing in a lighting kit for my photos! I groaned and made a few faces about how I would have to learn yet one more thing on top of the ca-zillion others I'm trying to figure out with my camera/photography skills! I think you did a great job with your lighting on that shot!!! Oh, and nope, it's not feeling like Spring here. My BBQ pad project is still waiting for a spell of good weather :-(
