Client Progress: Paper Installation

I stopped in to my client and friend Christina's office and got such an awesome surprise. Can you guess what business Christina is in?

Look at that paper! I just want to touch all of it (and I did).

Christina owns Paper Rock Scissors, where she and her staff specialize in custom invitations, calligraphy, and event design. A creative group nonetheless.

When we reworked the layout of her office, this wall was somewhat bare. So I had suggested taking the paper that she had in the work/assembly room and bringing it out into the office area as functional, pretty, colorful art - and man, it does not disappoint.

The paper is hung on the wall by white curtain rods from IKEA. Pretty brilliant, huh?

I love being able to use what you already have to make a big impact in a room, and I think this is a great example of that.

We're still working on this room but Christina is already really happy with the improvement of functionality of this space. Next up is another art installation that will be fun.

  2. Fantastic idea! How clever and such a good way to repurpose and save money. I love gorgeous paper and would be in heaven if that was my work space. This might be an idea for my basement which I'm slooowly putting together. Curtain rods that I already have would be a great way to display and store my wrapping paper.

Can't wait to see the rest!

  10. I think what I love most about this idea is that it's ever changing in their space. How cool to have a "piece of art" that also serves a function. Good job, friend.
