Play Time

I took a few minutes yesterday to play around with our bookshelf in the living room a bit. I'm still working on this room, but you can see the new paint color (BM Camouflage). It looks so nice on the walls - in both natural light and artificial too. The old color was really starting to cave in and just too dark.

I picked up the gladiolas yesterday at Whole Foods for $3.99 which is a really good price for them. I think the best I had gotten prior to this was $5.99 for a smaller bunch. Sheila picked out the yellow or else they probably would've been pink or deep purple. I really love gladiolas for their shape, color, and impact that they have in a room.

And I'm still trying to find the perfect spot for our Manayunk Bridge painting that we had picked up at the Arts fest. It keeps popping up in my photos though because I love it so much.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! It's a perfect day here and looks like this weather is going to stick around for a little while which makes me very happy - cooler nights and days in the 70s/low 80s.

  2. Love the wall color...and gladiolas always add a beautiful pop of color. Its my favorite time of year here in Nor Cal too...warm days with a hint of fall in the evening air...love it!

  3. Holly, the new paint color looks fantastic, especially against the gold and yellow tones in Sheila's flowers and your artwork. I feel like my living room is perpetually the room I'm "playing" in too. I guess because we spend so much time there it has to feel right. Yours looks so fresh and crisp.

Enjoy your week and this hint of fall weather!

  4. Whole Foods always has some amazing flowers. Love gladioli and the yellow is such a vibrant shade - adds a great pop of color to your vignette.

  7. The Manayunk Bridge scene is the perfect size on a wall in between rooms that is narrow, OR part of a larger collection of items.
