Living Room and Bathroom Updates

I had hung some additional art/photos in the living room the same day that I updated the floor lamp and the gallery wall, but I never had the right light to get a good photo of the other wall where I had installed the additional art/photos. Here is a decent photo I was able to get the other day:

From top to bottom: vintage sketch of Valley Forge National Park chapel that I had picked up at a flea market last fall, Manayunk Bridge oil on canvas by Jeremy Shires, and a photo of my sweetie pie that I had blown up in black and white.

The wall color is BM Camouflage.

And our bathroom got painted this past week and my Mom was over this past weekend to help me make a new valance. Here is a sneak peek of what is being added:

The wall color actually didn't change that drastically at all. What helped bring everything together was the new valance in the fabric that you see above. I hope to have some more photos later this week.

  1. It all looks great Holly! Those little touches make such a difference. Love me a good stripe so the valence fabric appeals to me, but what I am really loving is the charming framed watercolors, so fun!

  2. My eye went right to your adorable baby girl! Your wall is coming together nicely! I remember the last time your mom helped with a window treatment, it turned out fabulous, anxious to see the new bath updates!

    1. I really like Camouflage when it gets lots of natural light. We have it in our dining room as well and I don't love the color as much in there. In our living room, we get afternoon light because our house faces to the south/southwest and the color looks great. Thanks Lane!

    1. Those paintings were given to my Mom by her best friend's mom who was an artist. Aren't they cool? And the frames are so neat. The size is great too because they go in so many spaces.

PS. Can you believe how fast this pregnancy is going? Did you find out the sex yet or are you staying surprised?

    1. SO fast Sarah - too fast. But excited. Nope, not finding out which is also exciting. I know I'll be so anxious to know by the end of the pregnancy.

    1. Thanks Sheila! That sketch was such a great find. I didn't get much at the flea market that day but that sketch was a big score ($10.00!) and I got a really cool candelabra that I can't wait to use at some point.

  8. Hi Holly, I like mix of your artwork and it all works together!! And, thanks for sharing the paint color of your gallery wall - that was one of my questions. That is great that you and your mom work on projects together - I can't wait until Elizabeth is older and I can recruit her to help me! :) Hope you're having a good week, Holly!
