Words to Live By

I'm working on selecting a piece of original art for Sheila's next room, but in the meantime I just ordered this print for her room as well...

Thanks Mom ;)  Do you have words that you grew up with and have found yourself using as well?

I'll be posting some more ideas I have for Sheila's room soon.

***************

We've got our 20 week anatomy ultrasound tomorrow morning so we're looking forward to seeing our little bubba on the big screen. As curious as I am about whether we're having a boy or girl, we won't be finding out the sex of the baby. I'm anxious to compare our photos to Sheila's photo at 20 weeks. The 3D technology is incredible. Gotta make sure I drink a little OJ so the baby is wide awake :)

  1. Congrats on the new baby!
Some old sayings I still sometimes say on accident:
I'll be there "if the Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise."
"I don't want someone to think I'm getting above my raising."
"Sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite."
I'm obviously older and more country than you, Holly ;)

  3. I LOVE that you want to be surprised! I did too, but after the amnio they sent us a letter. I cried and said, 'I didn't want to know. Ok, then let's decorate the room!' Great saying ~ gets the point across in a positive way! :)

  5. I love it when you find artwork that has a special meaning. My mom used to always say, "Clean your room tip top!" She was German so English was her second language and we used to always make fun of the way she misused words or sayings. Anyhoo....we didn't find out the sex for either of our children and I loved being completely surprised. It'll be fun to compare ultrasound pics!

  8. Hi, Holly!! I'm so sorry, somehow I missed this post earlier this week:( I think it was the four days we had without power from the blizzard!! Love that print for Sheila's room, great quote and the arrow is super hip. So exciting, how did your big ultrasound go? Hope the little one looked happy and healthy in there! Props to you for not finding out the sex!!! I have to go back next month for another one because I have stupid low lying/placenta previa again:( But its a good excuse to see the baby:) Don't you feel like this pregnancy is flying by? And all the sudden baby is getting so big and moving around so much? In 2 more weeks I'm going to be in the third trimester already - yikes!!! Hope you are feeling good.

PS. Running to check out that etsy seller now:)
