My Upcycled Birchbox

Have you ever subscribed to Birchbox?

Steve got me a subscription for Christmas this year and I've really been enjoying it. Each month a little box of beauty, skin, and lifestyle products arrives at my door.

And each month I empty my products out of the box and always think what a durable little box it is. Well this upcycle challenge really has my wheels turning.

Here is a photo of the Birchbox - I figured I could spruce it up a bit.

And here is the finished product that I'll be using in my room at the Habitat Upcycle Challenge:

I picked up a few pieces of this fun snakeskin-like scrapbook paper at Michael's and wrapped the box up in it.

It's as easy as that and such a fun new look, don't you think? (HomeGoods each your heart out ;)

Next time you have a small ordinary box on your hands, take a few minutes to make it into something that you'll use and enjoy. I've seen some really fun wrapping paper at HomeGoods recently. Their paper and stationery section is a secret weakness of mine.

PS - This is not a sponsored post. I've enjoyed getting Birchbox each month and just knew I could do something fun with one of the empty boxes.

  2. Very chic! I tend to hoard Homegoods wrapping paper when I find some that I love and there's a ton. Beautiful, Holly!

  4. Awesome, Holly! Such a great idea! It looks so chic:) Had never heard of Birchbox before this...but let me tell ya, I am quite familiar with wrapping paper from Home Goods;) Last time I was there I bought like 6 rolls of the coolest different blue and white patterns...I justified it by saying I can use it for next year's Christmas wrapping paper!!!

You are the best! Thanks for saying I looked cute in that pic even though I didn't;) So glad you like the dresser..Danielle delivered it to me on Saturday and I looove it in the foyer!!! Had fun filling some of the drawers and styling the top yesterday. Will try to post some pics this week...as soon as it stops raining so I can get some decent light:)

  5. That looks very cool! I was going to paint some boxes that we have to stack and hold odds and ends in my daughter's room but now you've got me thinking about the paper route instead!
