Hello and welcome! I'm Holly Gruszka, owner of West Pear Interiors, a decorating firm based outside of  Philadelphia. I am enthusiastic about decorating and design, and I'm passionate about helping others.

I love Windsor chairs and floral fabrics. My favorite color is green and you might find me jamming out to Motown music at unexpected times. And I'll never pass up the thrill and adventure of a thrift store hunt. Coffee is my drink of choice and I enjoy finding new independent coffee shops with my husband Steve. We have two beautiful girls ages 5 and 2. Between me and my husband we collect: plants, ceramics, design books, beer growlers, and matchbooks. Eclectic? Sure. Boring? Never.

I completed the Temple University Interior Design certificate program in Fall 2011 with a focus on Layout & Design, Color Theory, Fabrics and Materials, Furniture, and Accessories. I continue to self-educate through reading and researching decorating and design on a daily basis. I am also a member of the Philly Social Media Moms group.

In May 2014, I received 2nd place in the Habitat Montco Restore upcycle challenge which was a wonderful project that challenged me to be budget savvy but yet stretch my creativity in new ways. You can see more of this project by following #moodyvintagechic office/reading room on Instagram.

My best design advice is to let your home evolve - don't rush into decorating your home all at once, and when you're stuck on choosing a color for your walls or need some ideas for a new family room layout - contact me. I'd love to help.

Thank you for visiting West Pear Avenue!
